The Facebook Seattle Regional Hackathon was an event held by Facebook for students in the Pacific Northwest. It is a 24-hour computer programming competition that provides participants with the opportunity to develop their own software products from concept to prototype in a single night. The winning team competed against other winners from Facebook's worldwide hackathons at the Hackathon Finals at Facebook headquarters in November 2014. The event is designed to give participants a chance to showcase their skills and creativity, and to develop new products that could potentially be integrated into Facebook's platform.
